Hotel Engadina

Staff speak English well, hotel is small little building near a large park and the lake. Convenient and short walk from the ferry and the S Giovanni Regional train station. Pleasant water pressure, clean bed, quiet area that’s really close to a 24 hour super market, facilities, simple included breakfast of breads, some salami, cheese, butter, and coffee or tea. Would recommend for travelers passing through and wanting a clean and simple hotel stay, that is just the basics. Nice shampoo provided.

We stayed here in November for 2 nights and it’s a really nice hotel. It’s not the most modern or aesthetically pleasing hotel but saying that, the hotel was clean, the room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was continental and I found the selection really small, I definitely didn’t feel full after eating so that wasn’t great but the staff were friendly and even helped us with advice about using the public transport. The hotel is located near a lake (not THE lake como) and it’s really pretty down there. The bathroom was a nice size but the shower was really bad, it was practically coming off the wall and the shower door was falling apart. It’s a short walk away from a supermarket (carefour) and there are restaurants about 20 minutes walking distance. Overall if you’re here for a few nights and aren’t looking for something boujee then this hotel is perfect

I was in Como for just a day and I absolutely loved my stay here. It’s only 9mins walk from the Como S. Giovanni railway station. It’s located in the heart of the city, walking distance to the Lake como, Villa, cathedral, supermarket, and other shopping centers. There are a few restaurant right next to the hotel too. Room was decent size, clean and had all the necessary items. But what I loved most about my stay here was the people working at the front desk. There were 2 younger men and 2 older men, all of them were sooo welcoming. I wanted some warm milk for my cereal and the front desk staff was very sweet to warm it up for me in a bowl. There’s also a free breakfast with a few options in bread, croissants, ham, cheese, jam and other spread with orange juice/tea/coffee. He also filled up my water bottle when I was checking out. What a sweetheart! I would highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Como and looking for an affordable stay with excellent service. :)
